• We get to keep it simple in the construction industry. To achieve the lowest prices businesses have to use the cheapest products or cheapest labor or both. If you're on a budget there are decent budget windows and really bad budget windows. We'll name names and show you why each window is the best from budget to premium. REMEMBER: Not all windows are created equal!

  • The cheap labor reality... Most window companies source whatever cheapest crew they can find. They have tools and say they can do it. No test, no certifications, just cheap. The companies like to give their installers matching shirts to keep the branded marketing look they're focused on, instead of paying for skilled people to work on your house. TIP: Ask the name of the installers coming to your home, most times they won't even know or they'll guess.

  • Gimmicks and the cheap product reality... Buy 5 windows, get one free! This is a good sign that the company is promoting really bad windows when relying on gimmicks. These types of gimmicks are simple sales tricks. For example, no window manufacturer sells windows to a window company with buy one get one deals. The window company must buy all 6 windows from the manufacturer. So they find the cheapest, most flimsy product they can find and try to make it look like a good deal with Buy 5 get 1 free. Is it actually cheaper when that customer has to buy windows again in just a couple years because their cheap window and bad installation has failed or have windows that no longer open or are no longer energy efficient??
TIP: Did the window company give you a price without measuring each window? They're using a very cheap product

  • Unfortunately, many companies today are what we refer to as "shell" companies. Shell of a company outside, cheap plastic parts inside, many times owned by tech guys who are good at digital marketing and don't know how to do the work they are offering. They rely on the cheapest workers they can find as discussed above.

  • Most window companies spend heavy on expensive marketing & advertisements. Then, deploy commission only sales people to sell the cheapest product they could find, and then use lowest bid subcontractors to do the work. They're focused on marketing, advertising and presentation rather than all the things that should matter... Quality windows and skilled workers.
