Not all windows are created equal! Some are engineered into a great product and some are engineered to be the cheapest product. We’ll name names and show you why each window is the best from budget to premium. We carry windows for all budgets. TIP: Beware if a company is selling one brand of window!
BEST WINDOW INSTALLATION: When replacing windows you want a skilled crew that has skills beyond just windows. When a window is replaced a hole is opened into all that is going on inside a wall. Interior finish, framing, exterior finish, etc. You want a crew that can handle more than the window as needed. Often, there are challenges and fixes to execute. A low skill cheap crew will provide a low skill cheap solution leading to issues or failure. TIP: Get a guarantee on the work, not just the windows!
Type of installation – There are different types of installation. If the window company/salesman doesn’t know what type or doesn’t say, it is a good sign they’re doing the cheapest less effective pocket install. TIP: Receive a full frame installation.
Gimmicks and cheap products… Cheap windows and bad installation often fails. Windows lose function and no longer open or lose energy efficient. Buy 5 windows, get one free! This is a good sign that a company is selling low quality windows. These types of gimmicks are sales tricks. For example, no window manufacturer sells windows with buy one get one deals. The window installer company must buy all 6 windows from the manufacturer then make it sound like a deal.
TIP: Did a window company give you a price without measuring your windows? They’re using a cheap product. Buy cheap, buy twice.
Cheap labor reality… Most window companies source whatever cheapest crew they can find. They have tools and say they can do it. No test, no certifications, just cheap. Companies like to give installers matching shirts to keep the branded marketing look they’re focused on, instead of paying for skilled people to work on your house.
TIP: Ask the name of the installers coming to your home, most times they won’t know. Meet your installers, instead of sales.
